If you are the one I've talked to before, I've got some info on some more of his dogs.
Yes, that's me! I emailed you back a couple times but didn't hear anything more -- maybe the Space Moose got the email, you never know.

And I'd be delighted to have any info at all on Eddie's dogs, and thanks very much!

Do you mean his place was sold, or the house was moved? I absolutely loved that house. (I'd have loved to own that whole place, for that matter. Great setup.) When I'd visit, I'd sleep on the couch in that funny wide hall at the bottom of the stairs, and felt right at home.

I sure hope Eddie's collection of Indian artifacts and photos and such went somewhere they'll be cared for and preserved for the future. I especially remember his grandmother's white doeskin wedding dress -- had to be close to 100 years old but still in perfect condition, and such beautiful work.

Anyway, do feel free to email me again -- rividh@earthlink.net is best, I check that one every day. Thanks!

Default Eddie and Kaye

Hi, I was googling about Eddie and came across this. My grandparents were good friends and hunted with Eddie years ago 50 and 60's. My grandmother and I (after her passing) visited Eddie and Kaye untill their passings. my grandparents were jane and Dr. Franken, I think Vicki would remember them. I miss Eddie and Kaye still as had many good times and adventures with them. My kids even got to meet them. The oldest always called him Grandpa Eddie. I have quite a few pics of him and the area. Does anyone still have a copy of the one with him holding the peace pipe up with only sky behind? Would love a copy of that one. I also thru a strange series of events met his brother (Napolion?) in Minn. one day at Afton ski area. That was after Eddies passing and it was nice to talk to him. Rachael (aka Cindi Franken)

Wow, sometimes it's a small world, eh? I'd be thrilled if you could post or email the pictures of Kay and Eddie. (I don't think I ever met their daughter.) I used to drive up to spend a weekend with them once in a while and we'd go train dogs out behind his place. Eddie was a terrific dog man and knew so much about both canine and Indian history.
