Smile Information on Shelby Montana

We are moving to Shelby from Texas in late July or early August. My wife has family across the border in Milk River Alberta so we know the area quite well. My biggest concern is house rentals. I cannot seem to find anything on the web about home rental in or around Shelby. I have seen the ads in the Shelby Promoter, but there has to be more than that I hope!

If anyone can help me out with a website or an email to someone who leases home, I would greatly appreciate it.

You might try a realtor in the Shelby area. In some ways, Montana is very computer literate (1st time I saw the guys at Les Schaub checking on state website to see if they got their elk permit was about 10 years ago). But most of my neighbors (very rural area) do not access the internet -- and that includes one couple with 3 rentals.

I will be working in Shelby, and I am curious as to what the drives would be like in the winter driving from Cut Bank or Conrad. Any help?

Don't know how I missed this thread. Sorry for the delay in answering. Driving to Conrad should be a breeze regardless of the season because it's all interstate between Shelby and Conrad.

Driving on Hiway 2 from Cut Bank to Shelby can be a little hairy during winter. The wind always blows up there and it's not uncommon to have 60 + mph winds. It's also not uncommon to see or hear of people being blown off the road on Hiway 2.

For my money, if you don't want to live in Shelby...then choose Conrad.

Also, you can go to goldentrianglenews.com and see all the local newspaper of that area (Cut Bank, Valier, Shelby, Browining).
