Default Whitefish vs. BigFork To Live?

I already live in a mountain town, and my thoughts were maybe either one of these would work if you left during the heavy winter months and went to wamer climate. Which one would offer the best for the buck and scenic as well?

Bigfork at the moment. Lower taxes, more land for less $$$. Take a look at Columbia Falls as well, not just in the city itself but between bigfork and c-falls

After traveling there this week, I would pick Bigfork over Whitefish. Whitefish just seemed like another busy resort town. Bigfork seemed slower, and felt more remote. Looking at the activities for the summer, both will have alot of activities that will draw people in. Bigfork is the main area where we will be looking if we move there. Haven't seen the area during the summer, but there was still alot of snow in Whitefish and the valley east of Kalispell.

Bigfork. Not as touristy. Prices less than Whitefish. And Bigfork has the best golf course in the state and is on Flathead Lake.
