And if that ain't enough, the price of diesel is going to drive farmers bankrupt...

$4.17 one week ago.
$5.02 8am Monday morning (Memorial Day)
$5.07 6pm Monday evening

Just in case anyone wonders why the price of food is on its way to doubling..... and will go up again when next year, farmers decide that even with the whopping new subsidies, they still can't break even on their costs to run their heavy equipment, so they don't plant at all.

Someone sent me this, I don't know if it's true but it sure sounds like something Hilary would do:

"Clinton was saying the other day to "borrow money from China to buy oil from Saudi Arabia"...
Right, and put the country MORE in debt?"

NO country has EVER survived being in debt to a hostile foreign power.

Actually, Hillary said that that's what's been happening. That we've been borrowing money from China to pay for Saudi Oil and that it needs to stop.

What? Hillary said something sensible??! tell me it's not so!

Too late now, but back in the 1980s, right after the breakup of the Soviet Union, we shoulda swung a long-term deal to buy Russian oil (and other raw materials) on the cheap... oil prices were at a low point and Russia was loaded with oil and minerals, but strapped for cash. It's a relatively short hop from the Trans-Siberia pipeline to the Alaska pipeline (or even our West Coast), and we could have thumbed our noses at high-priced Arab oil for decades to come, while conserving our own resources against future need.
