Jess C23 is on a distinguished road
Default Movin to montana

So I am a graduate of a small college named Unity here in Maine. I just graduated with a degree in Environmental writing and horticulture. I plan on looking for some freelance journalism work--or some crop cultivation; mostly fruits and veggies, also into medicinal plants.
I am going out there to find a nice place with my partner and a dog. Somewhere primarily rural with a nice cmmunity. I enjoy maine's beauty and hear that Montana is just as wonderful--a place to see and admire.

If anyone could give me some feedback on anything inquiring places to check out, cheap places, adventures, please comment back to me. It would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Jess. Welcome to the idea of living in Montana!

It's important for you to know that most places in Montana are small and sparsely populated with minimal job possibilities, so if employment is critical to you, your partner and your dog, such as extension colleges, you'll want to consider places like Billings, Missoula, Great Falls, maybe Helena, as those populations produce the most job possibilities. You can find lots of useful statistical info at City-Data's Montana Bigger Cities (over 6000 residents).
