Default Trip suggestions in Montana

Hi All,
I'll visit Montana with my wife this summer.
I have 2 long road trips planned:
1) From Billings to St. Mary (Glacier NP)
2) From Kalispell to Gardiner (Yellowstone)

Do you have any road suggestion on trip #1 ? Of course, from a tourist perspective, I'd like to do it in one day passing through the most interesting sites.

Same for trip #2.

Thanks a lot.

Well, I'm kind of biast here. haha You can take a look at the Redneck Road Map and be able to see where you are going. hahahahaha

But hopefully, somebody local can give better insite. I put up the redneck road map for people to see conditions of roads. But truth be known, you'll see a lot of scenery without leaving the couch. It's a sticky at the top.

Visit the Blackfeet Museum Of The Plains Indians in Browning. I must say though that quick one day visits are teasers and it really takes more time to appreciate this state.

South of Kalispell is Flathead Lake - east shore is the prettier drive. South of Polson/Ronan is Ninepipes Museum. St. Ignatius has the Mission church which is on historic register (whole interior is painted with murals like the Sistine Chapel). Then the National Bison Range at Dixon. Missoula has the Elk Foundation.

If you happen to loop through 89 either way, take a short side trip on Hiway 12 east of White Sulphur Springs and eat at the Crazy Mountain Inn in Martinsdale. Good food and great pie for dessert...
