hi all
new to the boards. my family and i are interested in montana. we're not familiar with the area, and would like some input. we're from small town new england. we don't mind rural living. we have three children, dogs, and would like acreage. my wife, back in the day, was a horse junkie, so being able to get her back in the sadle would be great. we need to live 15-20 minutes from a hospital. good schools, safe areas, and some jews would be a plus. ![]() we are not looking for big city life. we don't need lots of shopping or fancy restaurants. we're used to 9 months of winter and short summers. thoughts. thanks in advance! |

I lived in Montana for a year, and even if you spent many winters un NE, that won't prepare you for the Montana winters. Returning to Maine was like returning to a moderate climate. I wish you luck with the move. My only suggestion is to do lots of research...Montana is not for the faint of heart in a whole lot of ways. Shalom |
