I am on active duty in the Coast Guard and have always dreamed of living in the more mountainous areas of Montana or Wyoming. I was eligible to retire from the Coast Guard last year. I am waiting to find a decent job (approximately $30,000 per year). I am originally from Cody Wyoming. What would the likelyhood be a obtaining a job in a place such as the Bozeman area. Everyone I talk to says that jobs are very hard to find in Montana. My experitise is as an administrative supervisor, and I am 2 courses away from having my Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. I am 39 years old and have a 16 year old daughter that wants to attend college in Bozeman.

I am also from Gardiner. Born and raised. It is a great place.
I don't know of any houses for sale, but I have a piece of land 5mi north of Gardiner I have been trying to sell. It has awesome views of Electric Peak and Devils Slide. Its 1.85 acres. It sits adjacent to the Yellowstone Basin Inn. There is a for sale sign on it with a Phone number. I did list with a realitor and her sign and number is up there too. You could always get a nice modular home for around $100K and put it up there and you would have a valueable piece of property.
Property here is hard to find and seems to still be pretty expensive. Hopefully you will find something you enjoy. Good luck and welcome to the community!
