Default lewistown, mt

Got a phone interview for a BLM position up there in a while,
how is the area.

MY basic research reveals it to be a nice small town far from anywhere, how hard would it be for my girlfriend with a business degree to find work there probably?

and how hard is housing to locate?

Lewiston is actually not far from anywhere, it's in the center of everything.

Keep looking at the map of Montana and you'll see what I mean.

yes i see it equidistant from everything in abut the center of the state.

Land sure isnt as cheap as i would expect and there doesn't seem to be that much available compared to other areas of the northwest i have looked at.

Lewistown's reputation in the state is that it is the geographic center of Montana. Growing up in Montana, I never learned much about Lewistown than that.

As far as your girlfriends job, I can't say how difficult business jobs are to come by in the town of Lewistown. There's not a lot of business that goes on there but I did graduate with a girl from Lewistown who returned and is now working in the city engineering department.

I think there's probably lots of land available but since the population is small not too much may be on the market at any one time. We do have a lot of out of staters that buy hunting property and drive up the cost. Not sure if that goes in Lewistown per se.

I am originally from Lewistown and it's definitely in the middle of nowhere. As you can imagine with Lewistown being such a small town the job market isn't exactly booming. Even so, with a business degree she should be able to pick up a decent job given some time. Locating and aquiring housing should be easy, housing is pretty inexpensive when compared to many places. If you haven't yet, you may want to look at Lewistown News Argus, it will give you an idea of what's going on around town. Hope this helps!
