Bloomfield, Montana consists of a post office, a service station, a tiny rural elementary school and a church. Nothing else. The terrain consists of rolling hills. The people who live in the area wheat and cattle ranchers/farmers.
Prominity to shopping. Glendive, pop. 5,000, is the closest town. . .about 25 miles east on a paved road. Sidney, is 70 miles away, and a better shopping town with clothing stores and at least one bookstore. Both Glendive and Sidney have hospitals. For serious problems such as heart by-pass surgery, area people travel to Billings.
The weather is typical continental. . .cold in the winter. . .down to -30 occasionally, and hot in the summer. Expect about 12 inches of annual percipitation, most in the form of winter snows.
With the exception of a few ranch hand jobs, there is small possibility for work, unless one can work from home via Internet. High speed Internet service is available.
