Those Pics remind me of a time when we had some intruders into our place in the Pryor Mountains. It was mid-summer and we left our cabin in the morning to go work on some fence. When we came back that afternoon for lunch, we noticed the front door wide open and the screen punched in. Did we get robbed? Most likely not because the door was unlocked and we live at the end of the road (35 miles from Bridger), and besides there is nothing of value to take. After many of minutes contimplating what to do, my father entered the house yeilding a 8 inch carving knife.... it was all we had at the time. Upon entering he noticed some bear prints throughout the kitchen. It was a sow and cub! Now my dad at this time began to mutter some not so kind words, and probably did something to his pants..... not sure he never did mention. The couple just wondered through the house ate some instant tea canisters, some peanut butter, attempted to break into the tuna can, and everything else they could get their paws on. Then they entered the bathroom of which we had a leaking faucet in the tub, drank some water and it looked as if the cub had fallen/bathed in the toliet. After the quick rinse they both went into the bedroom jumped on the bed, left tea stained paw prints all over, and hell maybe took a nap? When they were done they exited the house. To this day I still remember cleaning up the mess and laughing with my family over the whole ordeal. The visitors never came back as far as we know... well at least they never broke in again.

What the heck was cut? By now I don't recall what all I wrote, other than it was all sillyness.

He cut your link to your web page that shows all the "commercial" websites. Prolly considered advertising, eh?

*blink* Oh, that... It's one of my personal sites hosted on Earthlink, where I keep various downloadable junk (links to my DOOM mods and demos, a driver for a memory stick, and AOLpress which is a freeware HTML editor); I own the domain reziac.com (what a coincidence!) and that's where it points. I liked ELN's silly welcome message image so I kept it as the site header, and cuz their critter is blue, well, that connection seemed obvious to do as a joke. I'm not sure where the advertising is, tho
I have over 300 pages and about 3000 files online (not counting my personal mirror of the DOOM archive, which is another 20 gigs or so) so there's pages for all occasions!

close encounter of the moose kind
I had a close encounter with a cow moose protecting her calf once. I had taken a friend and my 4 month old border collie puppy up to a little creek in the mountains at a friend's house to do some fly fishing for little cutthroat and brook trout. I put my friend in a good spot and told him to fish his way up the creek to me, then I went up to my spot and started rigging my fly rod. A moment later I saw a calf moose cross the creek a little ways up from where I was and I looked around to locate the cow (Mama) moose. Then the two of them continued to walk up the hill from the creekbed and disappeared so I figured they were gone now and I'd be ok to stay and fish.
A few minutes later a guy came walking down the path with his two hound dogs and I told him about the cow and calf and he warned me she had him up a tree twice that spring already. So, they continued on up the trail and I decided to pick up and hold my puppy so she didn't follow them.
Well just a few seconds later, the cow moose came barreling down the hill, crashed across the creek and went charging up the trail after the guy with the dogs. I screamed to him look out, here she comes and then turned with puppy in hand and ran back down the creek the other way. I told my friend to run to the car and wait and a few seconds later the moose had turned around and was now chasing me (puppy still in arms) back down the creek. She was running and making these loud grunting sounds and I dove into some willows along the creek bank. She could smell us but couldn't see us. This went on for a while with her going back and forth between me in the willows and the other guy up a tree up the trail. After about the 4th time of her going back to check on him, I ran back out the trail and to the car and we waited for about an hour before I went back in to get my fly rod back!
I've never been so frightened for my life EVER!!! I've been told my river fishing guides in Alaska that they fear a cow moose with a calf more than a grizzly bear and they can do more damage than a bear so don't get anywhere near a cow and calf moose unless you want to be killed!

Here's one I observed a couple months ago... the smart coyote and its stupid sidekick:
I'm driving down the highway through the desert. In the distance I see a young coyote standing on the shoulder. It actually looked both ways, contemplated for a moment, then casually trotted across the road and off into the brush.
Just before I reached where the smart coyote had been standing on the shoulder, an old and very fat coyote came busting out of the brush wearing this panicked "don't leave me behind!" expression, gallumped across the road and ran after its buddy. How this coyote survived to an age to have a well-greyed muzzle is a miracle!!
