That's too short of a run for me. I like to put in at Agar and paddle to the point where McDonald creek leaves McDonald Lake and go down the creek to where it joins the River. Then keep going all the way to the old Steel Bridge in Kalispell. All day sunbath and bird show with fishing to boot ! Water babies SPF 50, it's not just for sunscreen anymore, it makes a great mayonnaise substitute and doubles for boat trailer wheel bearing grease !!!

That's a good one! The longest I've done so far is Moccasin Creek to C-Falls. You also have to remember I've got at least 2 kids that always go along and they tend to get antsy after 4 hours or so. Now that they're older teens it's better so maybe we'll have to try that. I do wish we had put on the sunscreen, stupid me! I've been up since 2am with my legs and arms on fire and my son's walking like he just got off a horse! No one to blame but ourselves, just didn't think it was that bad out...

First off before you start to hate my self let me sya that I am from the much hated state of California. The town i live in now in California has more Holsteins Cows that people. My wife is from Montana, and I have been there many time. We are moving for a couple of reasons. One, people from the city moved into our area and drove up the price of live so bad that we are forced to move. I would love to stay in my home town, but I can not. I have not received a warm welcome from any one in any other state. Every one thinks that ALL California's live in million dollor homes and surf on weekends. The California that I am from is a place that every one hunts and fish. Logging and commercial fishing was the main money maker, till the darn earth first drove that to an end. All I am attempting to do is provide a good life for my kids. Sorry

First suggestion is to not tell people you are from California. Telling people that is a great way not to make friends in Montana.

Well ... I don't suggest moving to Missoula if you are trying to get away from people.

I tell every one that we meet that we are originally from California and it hasn't stopped us from making the best friends and more of them than we ever had in California.
I think the worst way to try to make friends is to not be straight and honest with them.

Everybody is welcome. The key is, when you leave California? Leave California.

Have you been to Bozeman in the last 3-4 years? That place is more like California that people think. Besides what would I bring with me? My surf board, my porsche, or maybe my private jet. I grew up on a Dairy, I live in a town that has less than 1000 people. I grew up hunitng Blacktail deer, and fishing like alot of other people who live in California. Granted, the state sucks, and so do alot of the people that live below Ukiah. Do you know where that is? I bet you have never been to California. If you every drive through, the top 200 miles of California are very different, live get out of the house.

People in Missoula think other Montanans are small minded idiots and other Montanans think Missoulians are self-important tree huggers. The only thing they have in common is that they both hate Californians.
