Missoula - Pet Friendly Rentals
Hello -
I'm wanting to move to Missoula, or the vicinity of it, however I have 2 dogs over 80lbs and 2 cats. The dogs are 5 years old and are caged up when no one is home. I want to rent first before buying a house so I can check out the areas, but I seem to have some difficulty finding a place that'll allow my kiddos. Any help?
Thanks!
Crystal

Your best bet is to to look for private landlords. not many of the agencies in town are cool. there are places for you but alot will depend on how much u want to spend in missoula. oh and just my 2 cents, dont cage your dogs, adress the issues which cause u to cage him. everyone will be happier, and your house safer as well. good luck

I'll be in the same boat if I move there.
How about asking a vet or a dog breeder in the area for info.
Sometimes its 'who ya know'
Good luck!

I gate off my dogs so they only have access to my living room and kitchen area when I am gone. You can use gates to confine your dogs without putting them in cages whenever you are not home.

Pet friendly rentals
Back when I was a renter, it was VERY difficult to find places for rent which would allow even one or two pets. You have two dogs and two cats? Good luck finding a rental that will allow your animals, no matter what town you go to.
As for caging animals, when we were travelers, our animals were caged during every trip, and often at night. They survived quite well.

Did you ever find a place? I live about 20 miles outside of missoula but my boyfriend and i are trying to move into missoula; however, like you we have a lot of animals. we have 2 dogs and 3 cats. 1 golden retriever and 1 lab mix. all neutered, all taken excellent care of, but NO place is looking for any pets at all! i don't know how people live without pets! if you had any luck or any advice that would be great! thanks so much!

If you are still in the market, try Garden City Mgmt. They have numerous rentals all over Msla and if you present yourself well and talk to Rick if you can, explain your situation, they could find you something. Best of luck!
