Default Thompson Falls

Does Thompson Falls get fogged in and have gray days often too? My hubby is from GF, Mt as a child, and we are wanting to return to Montana. Prefer to live in sunnier, blue skies, don't care how cold. We live in Portland, we have had enough gray and rain. Thanks!

Can't say THF for sure, but most of Western Montana has long, gray winters. Eastern Montana has much nicer winters in my opinion.

Agreed! Western MT in winter/spring is more like Seattle but colder. Weeks of gray, snow, rain and little sun.

T.F can get some river fog but it is still pretty sunny even in the winter, Way sunnier than Missoula or Kattelsmell ! Google David Thompson, he was a Canadian but he was a founding figure in these parts (Sanders County). Mapped the whole darn border and located most of the peaks in the area. He has a town, a mountain and a river named after him.
