Default How are the schools in West Yellowstone?

We made it to Montana in October and are loving it. We settled in Belgrade and my husband is building up in Big Sky. We have found that both Belgrade and Bozeman are very busy and we are looking more for a slow paced life ( we have 4 kids ).

My question is can anyone tell us about W. Yellowstone. I have had a few people say that the school is small as is the community but friendly. I understand that it is a tourist area and I know that there is the good with the bad in that regards. We understand the weather can be extreme but we are at the point of --weather versus traffic??

So can anyone tell me as much about W. Yellowstone as possible( schools, community, cost of living) Any information would be appreciated!

Default Hummm

OK, OK, I'll bite on this one........having lived years ago in W Yellowstone, if anyone else out there is from 'West' feel free to jumb in.
Well the schools system will be the least of your problems if you move to West, I say this half 'tongue in cheek', only half, the other half is, well, well life's experience speaking.
Ah, how can I say it..... it's a small town, I guess if you never go out and stay in your house things will be alright. I think the phrase 'cabin fever' was invented in West. Oh it's nice and fun in the summer, maybe the winter too....but, and 'BUT' is the key word here, I think the divorce rate in West is 150 percent.
I won't say I didn't love living there, but, but, but, oh well you I guess you just gotta live there to see what I mean.
Normal people don't move there, even if you are you won't be by the time you leave.
But hey what do I know it could be all different now, actually I hear they even have sidewalks there these days.

So far, Hamilton is still it's own town...... with it's own school system.
