Question wheelchair friend and i wanna move to.....

i live in spokane wa and im looking to move to eaither pullmen, billings or roundup. i would like some updated info on all of the cities/towns. i used to live in roundup about 8yrs ago and go do my shopping in billings. both great places. but i might be bringing somebody who is in a wheelchair so i need to know how i can get him around the areas.

whats the crime like and how much does it cost on average to go food shopping, rent and elcectrity. right now we need a change and i DONT want to bring a million u-haul trucks with because i think thats just annoying to you guys and me lol. i guess im asking where in billings is good for a person in a wheelchair to get around and do all the things he needs to do as well as have a good time. i need to know where to get a place because if he was left alone i need to know that he will be safe in that place.

im also looking for a few other smaller towns to look into. he wants to go and look at the views and rivers, lakes and im more into the history of the area and culture and i love the history behind Red Lodge but i fear that he wont be able to handle the snow. can anyone help me out with that part

oh yeah and what is your average pay rate.

oh yeah and another important thing is , we both dont have our licenese so i would liek a place that kinda has all the things around us lol. but if we lived in a place like round up i can deal with going all the way to billings for shopping. you guys have a bus that goes there right? is it easy getting jobs? please tell me it is : )

are people nice? i've been hearing no but i used to live there and the area i was in people were sweet to me : ) but then again i was just 8yrs old. i wont be bringing anything really. so i need im looking for a place that i can rent thats really cheap.

because i plan i getting a job and then moving there and staying in a hotel until i can get a place. i cant move straight there because i dont have a job here and i CANT get one. we are suffering here with that problem. so im gonna need to save up.

I'm sorry to say that IMO Montana is not exactly handicap friendly like many other places are. Don't get me wrong, it's not like they openly discriminate or anything, it's more like you're an afterthought. Take here for example, until last year there was effectively no hadicap parking at any of the schools and no real way for someone who was in a chair to get to or in the schools unless someone opened the doors for you, most times 2 sets of doors.
This includes a school that was built about 5 years ago. I asked about it and was told "we didn't even think of that" even though they had a child enrolled who is a quadrapledgic in an electric chair.
The point is you'll need to be prepared to deal with life and it's challenges without most of the convieniences that many other cities handicap friendly they just don't think about that here.
