....and to add to that last post; I've been a fan of all of the Seattle teams....Seahawks, Mariners, [Super] Sonics and even enjoy watching the T-Birds, in hopes that one day Seattle will have an NHL team.

Yeah, kind of. Montana and Idaho being the Inland Northwest and Washington and Oregon being the Pacific Northwest.
Not much difference, being all in the Northwest and Northern Rockies.

Speaking strictly for myself, I've always kind of identified with Seattle, more so after visiting some when my wife was working over there on and off a couple years ago. It's sort of the port we got cheated out of when they got the territories lined out...stupid Columbia River....
I liked the maritime climate, but there were plenty of mountains close by. Seemed most folks I met kind of sparked a commonality somehow, maybe mutual curiousity or interest more than anything. Just liked the general atmosphere tho' I don't think I could live there - cities and I don't agree except on a temporary basis. Was great to have the fresh produce and seafood that you can't get here for love 'nor money.

Do fresh crayfish count?
One day I took a notion to have crayfish for dinner. So I spent the whole day catching 'em in the ponds west of Bozeman. Biggest one was about the size of my finger. Took 20 minutes to cook 'em, half an hour to shuck 'em, and about two seconds to eat 'em. All both mouthfuls!!

Heh heh... We caught a few crawdads up at Canyon Ferry earlier this year, but had the same results you did! Not bad tasting with some white wine, butter, and garlic. Wish we had caught more.

Works the same with wild strawberries in the mountains - pick for an afternoon, eat for about a minute or two. Awful sweet, even so....

Ain't that the truth! same with blueberries in Minnesota. Lots of 'em around, but man, are they tiny! But they have more flavour than the domesticated type, which always taste watery to me.
Tho the wild strawberries we found were always sour. Tasty, but sour!
We brought some home and planted 'em in the front garden. They're hardier than the domesticated type, and on average they'd bear better, at least in Great Falls.
Suddenly I have an urge to go chokecherry pickin'
