Default Searching for Homeschoolers in the Helena area

Hello, I live in Helena and have a four year old that I am ready to start homeschooling. We have been doing very informal home education for some time, but this year I would like to get together with other homeschoolers and create a more organized routine for socializing, along with exchanging ideas between other parents. We are not part of a formal religious organization, but do feel that spirituality is an important component of life. I am open and flexible in my ideologies and welcome religious or secular families to reply. If you are interested, reply to this thread, and we can set something up. I look forward to hearing from other homeschooling parents in the Helena area! I would also love information on homeschooling in Helena. If anyone knows of homeschooling groups or organizations, that would be great.

HACHE...homeschool group is having a big annual picnic at noon Saturday at the Fairgrouds. It would be a good place for you to meet some people and get some ideas. Just out of we waited until ours were 6 to start 1st grade. Up until then, "school" is learning how to write, read a little count, etc. Nothing really formal before then.
