![]() But just to debunk you arguement every so slightly ----"This a free country" - I don't know were you live but I never got anything for free ! One question do you have a fence around your proberty? Pehaps you should take it down - less people think you are being un-neighborly like, In fact if you do own some proberty perhaps you should just sell it, give away the proceeds, focus on on being kind and good to others, I think that would really serve to solidify your humanitarian views - short of that, it was a nice speech. And with all due respect thanks for your oppion - and it was free, I must say opinions are always free in American. "Opinions are like *** in that everybody's got one and they all stink"......JOEJOEMAN's too ![]() So I commend you for your performance and encourage your disent. |

I don't think that it is the Californians that are trashing Montana. I think it is those in Montana that sell their land to big business that are trashing it. If there were no tract homes, no malls, etc. Calfornians would not come unless they had to buy an older home that had been there for 50 years or more.

![]() So tell me, is it my imagination, or are we so afraid anymore in today's world to say things that might offend someone ? It seems to me that years ago people were much more inclined to speak their mind, not that they were rude, but just that they'd say what was on thier mind. Also people weren't so quick to get upset at what others said. But in today's world, you never know what you can say, because it might upset somebody. It's like the 'thought police' have arrived in America. Which I find quite odd and contradictary to all those messages of FREEDOM, FREEDOM, FREEDOM, that politicians like to feed us. We hear it everyday how we are fighting for freedom around the world. Meanwhile at home, I'm having to cross off more and more words and thoughts that I'm not allowed to express anymore. Hummm...? Kinda' makes a guy wonder sometimes..... I still say, to repeat myself, and that is that one has to look no further to know that something is definately wrong in america, than when we start electing the same families into the presidency to run our country. Strangely enough that doesn't seem to bother many people, as they'll show up at the polls to do it..(get ready for Hillary Rotten Clinton next, basically putting slick willie back in the oral office), collectively as a society we have turned into a bunch gullible self-absorbed and pampered fools. Personally, I wouldn't find it very hard at all to make a case for, why everyone in American shouldn't be allowed to vote, if this is what it gets you for a country. The fact that we are not completely in toilet yet is only due to the fact that we are still riding on the vitures that our parents, the great generation left behind, lord knows the baby-bummers tried so hard to destroy their notion of freedom and decency. |

Don't forget, it's not only what you can't say anymore it's also what people have no problem saying now days. Many years ago you could hear someone speak their mind and you could have a debate or conversation with them but the difference is respect and the lack thereof. It's one thing to speak your mind and quite another to let the toilet loose and insult everyone who disagress or what happens most often is a total lack of caring about others and their feelings.
We have forgotten how to respectfully debate and agree to disagree, instead we shout obsinities or personal attacks and act down right rude to each other or lable the people we disagree with racist, homophobe etc. just for having an idea we don't like or we get real offended and shun those who disagree. This doesn't even cover the people who should never, ever talk because they don't know how to stop the bile from oozing out of their mouths (these would be people like white supremacists or other radical groups) that is obviously ment to offend as many as possible. I guess we've lost all moral compass when it comes to simple conversation and that is sad! |

JoJoMan, You seem to be knocking the politicians. I'm wondering how come you don't run for elected office yourself? If what you think are the answers to everything affecting Montana, Then you should stand for election. Hell, I might even vote for you myself if I think that you are right! Coming up with solutions to our problems are a little harder than just lock the doors and don't let anyone else in. We have to remember that most of our jobs are effected by the housing market. If these folks who make their living building homes can't do that anymore, then what can the do? They can't be loggers because environmentalists have already shut down that industry. Remember the hardship and the loss of jobs and revenue we had to endure when that happened? How about when the state and feds kept passing more standards that the farmers and ranchers had to pay for. Do you remember the loss of multiple generation of farmers and ranchers that have occurred in the last 30 years? And now some are having to sell their spreads just to keep paying for the new regs and taxes on them? So where will the next generations, old family's and new find these jobs if we don't reinvest in our own substructure? What I'm saying is if you have the answers, put em out here and see if they pass muster and if they do, then you have my vote for office.
