I can assure you I am not a troll. I have not spewed forth hate at all. I don't HATE Californians, but I DO resent them trying to take over my home state. If I hated them I'd get out my 410 shotgun and fire away.

You need to read my post more carefully. Not once did I say that I hate anybody. I do find some of these transplants very annoying and I do wish they would GO HOME or never come here to begin with.

Nope. Not a troll. Just a dyed-in-the-wool true blue MONTANAN, through and through. Guess you will have to deal with people like me if you move here from CAL or anywhere else. Fact of life. Don't believe all these OTHER transplants that give you the big rosy picture. It's the HUGE influx of people to places like the Bitterroot Valley that are ruining the quality of life for the natives. And believe me, I am not the only native who is resentful of it.

I don't dislike individual people, okay? But huge masses of them are destroying the essence of Montana. The things that bring them here in the first place are being DESTROYED by them. Rather ironic, wouldn't you say?

'Net definition of Troll:
Usage of the word is various. In some usage, a troll is a communication such as a usenet post, and a troller is the author of such communication. In media where communication isn't discrete, a troll is the creator of such communication.

A troll is deliberately crafted to provoke others with the intention of wasting their time and energy. A troll is a time thief. To troll is to steal from people. That is what makes trolling heinous.

Trolls can be identified by their disengagement from a conversation or argument. They do not believe what they say, but merely say it for effect.

Trolls are motivated by a desire for attention by people and can't or won't acquire it in a productive manner.

Someone may be insufferable, infuriating, fanatical, and an ignorant idiot to boot without being a troll.

Also note that a troll isn't necessarily insulting, snide, or even impolite. Only the crudest, most obvious, forms of trolling can be identified so easily.

If you find yourself patiently explaining, at length and in great detail, some obscure point to someone who isn't even being polite to you, then you are probably being trolled.

'Nuff said?

ummm. I have a valid opinion, sweetie. A VERY valid opinion. Sorry if you don't like what you are hearing. I am speaking the TRUTH and I am speaking for MANY native Montanans.

Like I said, not a troll. Just giving you the other side of the story. Sorry if it hurts so much. It is a very accurate picture. I have lived here all my life and I have seen it firsthand from a native's perspective.

Where the heck is MONTUCKY anyway? Certainly not anywhere around these parts, that's for sure. How 'bout you just STAY down there?

Are you Native American Indian? Because if not I'm fairly certain that you are not "native" and helped ruin Montana for the true natives.

The beauty of it all is that this is a free country and people may live wherever they please. Your opinion doesn't hurt, but the delivery certainly clouds the point you're trying to make and lessens the chance that anyone might care what you think.

And this is my whole point. People like Montucky couldn't care less how they offend native Montanans. They come here thinking they can do as they please and change everything to their liking. He is EXACTLY what I am talking about it.

I do believe what I am saying. Very passionately.

I was born in St. Patrick's hospital in Missoula, Montana in the 60's. My mother was born there in the 1930's. My grandparents were born in Thompson Falls and Troy. My great grandparents were born in Troy, where my great-great grandparents homesteaded.

Is that NATIVE enough for you?

Sorry if you can't take the truth. I am here to give the other side of the story.

And please don't diss the Native Americans. They were here before ANY of us.

I personally don't care what people think about my 'delivery'. That is the reception you will get from people in some of the smaller towns around here. Better brace yourself for it if you move here.

yeah, it's a free country. Hence my posts here!!

You are offended by the mere presence of "outsiders" -- does it matter whether anyone cares? It seems to me that transplants could be the friendliest kindest people and you would still tell them to "go home" and complain about their existance. If you think people should refrain from moving here because it bothers you, then you're fighting a losing battle.

Um, I didn't diss the Native Americans. My point exactly: they were here before any of us. "You" ruined it for them. Why the high and mighty attitude now?

I am a staunch advocate of Native American rights, just for the record. I see what you were trying to say. But please don't question my bloodline, either.

And also for the record, there are lots of native Montanans who feel the way I do... Native Americans as well!! I am not the only one. And of course you have a valid point. So let me qualify myself and say that the types of people that we resent the most are the ones who come in and rape the land for housing developments, drive up property values to the point that long-time residents cannot afford to pay their property taxes, and generally have no respect for the people of this great state who were here first, white OR red.

We have millionaires coming in who try to fence off public roads for their own use and then cost the taxpayers millions of dollars to fight them with lawsuits. Around here, the taxpayers always win. There are things called 'prescriptive easements' that win out over the millionaires mostly every time. We fight fight fight for our rights! But just the THOUGHT of having to fight is what gets our blood boiling.

If you tread lightly you will do fine. Buy an old house and fix it up! Don't pollute. Don't buy a trophy home where the deer and the antelope will no longer play because of the golf course built around it.... be sensitive to the locals. Don't come in here and run for city council a year after arriving... because you won't win the election.

You get my drift. I am truly sorry for being so outspoken on this. I should not have stereotyped Californians. My bad.

I realize completely that anybody has a right to live here. Just don't move in next door to me! Thank you very much.
