Yeah, depends on whether they're being an idiot, or are just inexperienced or unlucky... if some Darwin-Award candidate damnear runs me off the road, I'm inclined to let 'em stew in the ditch. If it's some southron type who clearly just doesn't grok black ice, well, they probably learned their lesson and are more likely to remember it good and proper if someone with a clue tells 'em what they did wrong as they give 'em a tow out of the snowbank.

"The Darwin Awards salute the improvement of the human genome by honoring those who accidentally remove themselves from it..." a friend of mine is on the award selection committee... lordy, the tales he can tell...

Absolutely!
I've pulled many people out including a cop in a patrol car, things happen. Where I draw the line is the schmo driving down the highway in heavy blowing snow or slushy roads, weaving in and out and ticked off because everyone is doing 50 and he/she thinks they can go 70 or more.
