Might sound funny but I'm excited too and I don't live there! Maybe I'm looking forward to the seasonal change.

Just talked to my dad. Now I am really excited. We are going hunting and we are going to be in about 6-8 inches of snow. BigTrees, you have to live here to love it.

I DID live there for 20+ years! I grew up skiing on the Big Mountain, went snowmobiling, ice skating, cross country skiing. And yes, there are few things more exciting than the first snowfall.

What I think is really funny though is how my family (still back in Montana) really talk up winters in November, but then all complain when the snow doesn't go away in March. It happens every year and I get a laugh out of it.

Just like you guys - you'll love winter while it's here, but I know come spring, you'll be really looking forward to the warmer days, seeing leaves on trees, and thinking about warm weather again.

I am not a summer person. When it's 90 degrees and you are out working, it's pretty hard to get cooled off, BUT-when it's 20 below and you are working outside you can put more clothes on and get up and move around and warm up. I don't complain about the winter even after 9 months of it. I do feel bad for my animals and stock when the temp goes to 40 below but they don't complain either.
