Pilot looking for work....
Hello there everyone up north!
I am a pilot in windy Casper, WY but I won't be for long! I love the Kalispell/Whitefish area too much to stay away any longer therefore I am planning a move with my wife and son. I will hopefully be taking a trip to Kalispell in a few months to scope out a place to live and start the job hunt. Anyone have an idea if there is any work available for pilots in the area? Anybody in particular I should hunt down at the airport? Any corporate or other flight departments that need somebody with solid aviation experience? All info is much appreciated thank you!

If you are a CFI looking for work I might be able to get you in contact with some really good people. PM me if you are interested.
I'm a pilot also, but just a PP (SEL) working on my IR, CL and rotocraft slowly but surely.
Good luck!

I have been known to instruct from time to time
Aviation is a tricky business to make it in that is for sure. I was figuring that it would be a good idea for me to spend some time instructing just to get my face out there and start building a reputation. Plus there's no thrill like sending a primary student out on there first solo!
I'm not quite sure how to PM yet, but I added you as my friend thinking that would make it possible....

You might start with Red Eagle Aviation out of Kalispell. I've fueled there a few times and they seem like nice people. Here's a pic of one of my favorite strips not far from Kalispell.
Good luck!

You know we have the ambulance run the deer off the runway before the medic flight get here One of the many charms of rual living. Maybe the OP wants to look at the life-flight companies? Great photo, but please pass the airsick bag I get the queasy easy.

My boss doesn't like us landing on soft fields (once in an opportunity with a friend's Citabria came around), but every so often I get to land in my hometown Jackson Hole, WY and soak up the views. One of the main reasons I am moving to the Kalispell area is to get back to my roots in the mountains - seeing how I can't go home unless i've got $10M sitting around...
Thanks for the info - I have also heard mention of Red Eagle from a good friend of mine in Kalispell. I'm going to look into something with Empire Airlines too... we'll just see what happens! Thank you and here is one of my favorite pics of the Tetons.

Here's one of Pilot Peak near Bozeman. That's as far north as I've flown, usually just get to fly around the high prarie and mountains of Wyoming.
Anyone else have some cool pictures?
