Default Missoula Questions

I'm wondering about an apt complex in Missoula called Copper Run. Is this complex in a good neighborhood? What about a complex called Crestview? Could someone please tell me anything they know about these complexes and the areas that they are in? I would appreciate it. If anyone knows of any other rentals that might be better, please let me know. Thanks!!!

I used to live at Copper Run in Missoula. The apartments are fairly new and in good condition (I believe they were built in 03-05), and it is in a pretty safe area I'd say. I wouldnt even call the area a "neighborhood" because it is completely surrounded by shoping centers, grocery stores, a disgusting animal rendering factory, a storage locker "park", and the state crime lab is across the way also. The only thing about living on the west end of Missoula is it stinks horribly at night due to the paper mill on the outskirts of town. There was a murder there earlier this year on the top floor of the complex that runs along side mullan road. I wouldnt worry about it too much, because Missoula is a pretty safe town for the most part. Hope that helped a little.

Yeah, this area stinks. I think the smell is mostly from that animal processing plant, as well as the waste treatment plant that is just downstream. There is also an eco-compost outfit that puts out some smell. Personally, I would look for a quieter, less stinky, and less trafficky neighborhood.
