Affordable Places to Stay Near Big Sky (Bozeman, Belgrade: rentals, hotels)

Hello All,

My wife and I have always wanted to visit Montana. As it turns out our friends are getting married in Big Sky next fall. As excited as we are about the trip we are not too excited about the 275.00 a night fee at the place that was suggested to us. OUCH! Does anyone know of some decent Hotels near Big Sky that are a little more affordable? I am not looking for the Ritz but I also do not want to stay in a roach motel either, just something in between would be nice. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You may want to stay in Belgrade which is about an hour away from Big Sky.

Oops... You used "affordable" and "Big Sky" in the same sentence.
The two have nothing in common. I'd look at Bozeman or Belgrade.

Although you might get a better deal in Big Sky in the fall before ski season opens but I'm not sure.

Welcome to the Gallatin Gateway Inn

These all have you making the drive up the canyon, but are somewhat more affordable than the immediate Big Sky area. There are several B&Bs around the lower canyon area, you might check around the on-line yellow pages and see what you can find for that time of year. If the bookings are down for the year, you might get lucky. And as RobinD69 said above, there are any number of motels in the Belgrade/Bozeman area.
