Default From Kentucky to Montana (tips please)

Hi all,
I am seeking some advice on the areas on Montana or Wyoming. I am from Kentucky and my small family of three are thinking of moving to Montana or Wyoming. We are looking for more of a smaller community to live in, where the houses aren't so close together you can throw a rock and hit them. We have a few horses also and would be looking for a small home with a little land. We will also be looking for jobs, my boyfriend would be looking for a jail or a correctional facility to work in while I have a degree and currently work as a teller at a local bank here so I will be looking for a job in banking or business. We are courteous and hospitable people and have old fashioned values. We would be looking for affordable housing where decent jobs are available. Thanks to anyone with any advice or tips that can be given. We will be planning to visit before any final decisions are made.

I would say right off the top of my head to try Shelby or Deerlodge. However you are also looking for an area with affordable housing with decent jobs, that's a tough one. Definitely visit first, you may be in for a shock, Housing is affordable in Shelby if you're buying but it may be tough to find a rental. Wages are very low for the most part.

Default Bozeman...

Sounds like you should come check out Bozeman. We still have jobs, a correctional facility, a university, and we have housing but this time of year it will cost you an arm and a leg.
