Hell ya I ice fish... Got broke in on the ice 15 years ago back in OH fishin Walleye. I wish there was some good Walleye fishing close by W of Kalispell.

Been fishing Hubbart Res the last week or so. Only water with good ice at this point and decent fishing action that's somewhat close. Lots of 10" Kokanee and Rainbows coming out. Nothing spectacular but better than sitting on the couch fueling cabin fever or shoveling snow every day . Waiting for Bitterroot to make more ice, then the serious fishing starts.

I took the wife and 2 boys (9 and 10 year old) out a couple days ago. The 10 year old caught a 2# rainbow . His first time on the ice and first fish on it as well. When we got home I was about to stick a knife in it when he and the wife went into cardiac arrest. I guess I have to put it on the wall for him. That's cool though and just what we need... another fish on the wall ! I couldn't break his and especially his mothers heart. Like the ol saying goes, if mamma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy ! And lord knows i've been there done that toooooo many times .

There is about a handful of other lakes around with good ice but with the amount of snow we have been getting the last couple weeks most of them are almost impossible to get to now or have way too much snow on them. Makes it really tough...

How much ice and snow does Seeley have ?

Not sure, last report wasw 4-6 on the ice, but that was before the snow rolled in. Keep me informed on your ice adventures/conditions, and I'll return the favor.

I want my money back. I'm already getting cabin fever and its only December. Either warm up to 80 degrees, or get cold and snow. These gray skies day after day are driving me nuts. Hey, did you all read that Montana has the highest suicide rate in the nation? I think I know why.
You have to got to be kidding!! It's been snowing off and on in Billings since December 19 and the road crews FINALLY got out on December 29 actually move some snow,

after two days of sunshine and 99% of the snow is now gone.

Great job there guys!
