Hey, that was a good find. I hadn't heard about the incident of all of those snow geese landing on the Berkeley Pit's pollution pit. I worked for awhile for the Anaconda Company many years ago and saw first hand what a mess they made out of the landscape and now we've got this cleanup to contend with. There's a hill called Timber Butte just south of town which was covered in timber before the mines started operating. Fumes with arsenic and other toxins killed off those trees and alot of vegetation in the area and they've never come back or been replanted. It's kind of a shame.
And then there's the unabomber and all of the crazies. Have you noticed that all of the nut jobs that you hear about from Montana that end up being hunted by the FBI seem to be from other states?
Anyway, thanks for posting that, I thought it was an interesting bit of information.

Good stuff. Interesting to read about the different states I am looking at. Guess I better not go to ID with my CA plates though

I loved the Montana diet of deer, beer, and ranch dressing. How funny and true! If Utah is supposedly the fry sauce center of America, then we must be the ranch mecca. I can't tell you how many times I've seen someone eating a deer steak fried up in a pan along with some kind of potato slathered in ranch...and drinking a Bud Light.

A nice bourbon goes well with antelope. Ranch on fried potatoes, heaven.
