Anyone have any idea how much chinking is going for these days? (It's the white "stuff" between the logs in log cabins). I'm looking for a ball-park labor and/or material price.

Thanks much!

Oh, and do you KNOW anyone that's good at doing it?

You might want to let people know where (location) you're wanting the chinking done...

There are several different materials that are commonly used for chinking. Mud is the cheapest. If you want to spend a lot of money there are some materials that will expand and contract along with the logs and will last half a lifetime.

Are you referring to using buffalo chips for chinking?
