It should be easy to find out with a phone call or email. If the county doesn't have any requirements You may have to check with the State. Sure would be a shame to have to rip it all out. I know that many folks don't ever bother with permits when building, (depending on how far out in the boonies) some get away with it and some are very very sorry they didn't comply. There was a flurry of hippy style, not to code structures going up in north Idaho for a while mostly on not so prime land. When it comes time to sell these properties or get a mortgage on one the structures seem to have little value.
