So is my Tahoe too fancy for Montana? I was in Billings and I saw some pretty expensive vehicles that make my 07 Tahoe look ordinary.

Go out in wheat country in July, and you'll see farmers driving combines that cost ten times what your Tahoe did.

A lot of it is attitude. If you drive a Tahoe because it's a good fit for YOU, everyone is cool with that. If you drive it to show off how you're superior to the local hicks -- that won't be at all appreciated.

I am not one to show off, as it offends people anyway, and I drive it because it is comfortable. I am sick of California as it is all about show and impressing people that hate you anyway, BTW I am from Montana so I am not an outsider, but I agree Montana doesn't need mega malls or ginormous sky scrapers, and these will never happen in Montana.

Yeah that is something you can't do in California, as the neighbors mostly ignore you unless you have a cool toy like a boat or something.

When I was a kid in MT/ND/MN, kids all played together and parents got together over coffee and pie... new neighbour moved in and it was all they could to do fend off the cake and pie made to welcome them to their new home.

Bake a pie and take it to your new neighbour in CA and they'll be suspicious you're up to something, and gods forbid your kids should play with random strangers' kids!! People live in the same place for years and never even talk to their neighbours.

Yeah I miss that, the novelty of the big city has worn off, if I need to go shopping, there is the internet. I am sick if dealing with snobby people.
