Question St Labre Indain School

receive packlet that it had burnt down, with pic. They claim arson. I have been sending them money for years, but come on, I am not rich, love to help buy new books but I cant build a school. So where are the kids going to school at now???? is all well??? is it worth rebuilding? is it needed?

Don't think it was St. Labre which burnt down... St. Paul maybe? The are somewhat private catholic schools so think they survive on outside funding.

I searched every which way and didn't come up with any news items about a fire this year, tho apparently the school has been threatened by wildfires a few times in the past.

But I did find this diocese newsletter -- the St.Paul school was gutted by fire in June 2008 and that was their frontpage news, with photos: http://www.dioceseofgfb.org/userfile...%20website.pdf

Since we're in the area... here's the St.Labre School website: St. Labre Home Page Nifty graduation photo!

They have a neat memorial plaza too.

I found this interesting too, linked from the school's site: Apsáalooke (Crow) Tribal History :: Little Big Horn College Library Sad to say I never knew that school existed til now, and I've driven through there a couple times since its inception.
(Wow, you know it must be a laid-back place when school personnel put their nicknames right up on the campus directory -- "Frenchie" and "Sargie" no less!)

Thanks for the info and the links--I've been supporting St. Labre for a while, too, and it was awfully nice to see their website, and get some idea of where our little contributions are going!

You can see pride of heritage, workmanship, and achievement in the facility, and in the graduating class picture as well. Looks to me like charity to this school is money well spent!
