I remember them well. Stout little things. Good in the snow? Kick a little Subaru...
Good for you to figure out the problem, usually involves my dh kicking a few things. In the garage of course

Ahhhh, the Eagle...Boy does that bring back memories!!
When the wife and I got married we drove a white Eagle through Spokane. It had a ski rack on top, and I couldn't figure out why all those Spokane folks were actually hitting the speed limit. Figured out later, that car looked just like the cop cars used by the Washington State police!
Loved those Eagles. Tough, good traction, good on fuel, and they just kept going forever!! The wagons actually had enough room in the back to actually carry a load, or put down the seat and there was enough room for "car camping"
Well, It was actually a beautiful day here today, so the wife made me plant 45 hills of spuds, 2 20 foot rows of onions, row of radishes, carrots, bunch of beans and squash and pumpkin.
She had me make her a greenhouse last weekend so we also planted a bunch of tomatoes, green peppers and peas in the greenhouse.
I told her it was early for just about everything but the root crops....but I think she has a terminal case of spring fever. Worked my butt off!!
I think a cold beer and a long soak in a hot tub will help me recover enough to go to work tomorrow, maybe....

It is hard to resist the pull of the sun. I thought long about it today and did finally do some raking..Not unusual to have snow in May here.. Looking at the seed packets longingly.

Woohoo! My snow peas and spinach are up! Sure, I get the typical comments - "You're not from around here are you??? We don't plant our gardens until Memorial Day!" But then, they all wonder why my garden is so much farther along than theirs! Sure, I'll get hit one of these times with it cold enough to have to replant... so be it.... The cooler weather crops seem to take a fair amount of snow on them anyway before they'll die off....

Growing up in the south the thought was the garden had to be in before easter. When I went to Oregon with my dh many years ago there I was trying to plant things in the cold rain Now that I am here I have learned to wait a bit more again. I am going to get myself a cold frame built here this year because the sun seems to be really concentrated. Coming from almost sea level I can tell the difference in the altitude. I am envious of your spinach. Good Job! Any problems with the bunnies in your neck of the woods?
BTW, thanks to all who are coming by here to visit. Lots of nice conversations and occasional zingers. ;-). A nice break from having to think about the issues of the world.
Keep an eye out for Rickers and Peek, the cousins might be after that Mt. Dew up on the porch.

Most Eagles take the three line filters; in, out, and out to return to the tank.

In the early 80's I worked as a tec for a Chrysler dealership. I remember one instance of a car that would run fine then all at once run out of fuel to the carb. It led me on one heck of a goose chase since it would never act up on me. But left the owner walking a few times. I finally found that there is a metering valve in the tank where the return line from the filter goes in. It would at times allow too much return and starve the carb. If you have another issue with fuel delivery on the Eagle, I just wanted to recommend you plug the return off the filter and test again. Might save some head scratching.
Good luck with the project! Thats a cool car!
