50 years ago there weren't no peacocks "up the canyon"! What have you people been doing to my home?
Never mind, I have driven through there, and drove by where my house used to be. I can see what happened.
Sad.
Moose Drool is an acceptable substitute for Guiness.
Speaking of Moose, I haven't been to Moose's in Kalispell in years. I know Moose Miller passed on, (who did they find with hands big enough to dispense the peanuts?), but is the bar still there? Have they carried on the traditions that ol' Moose started? Somewhere around here, stashed in a box, I have one non-voting share of stock in Moose's Saloon. i wonder what a collector in Kalispell would pay for that? As I recall, it has Moose's autograph on it.

Well Red I'm happy to tell you that yes, Moose's is still there and still has some of the best pizza in the valley (voted #1 in a poll after a tie breaker with the Silver Bullet bar on hwy 206) but at least one of the traditions has been tossed.
I will explain the lost tradition for those that are not aware... When you brought a newbie to moose's you'd tell them that to be initiated you had to blow moose's "horn". Well the opening of the "horn" curled and faced the user and the horn was filled with flour so the unsuspecting "blower" would get a "flour shower" when they did their duty. A great harmless prank right?
Well from what I understand an out-of-stater blew the horn, got floured and then sued moose's for damages so they had to dump the horn.
Other than that there's still sawdust and peanut shells on the floor and cold brew/good pizza!

I'm surprized "The Jack" still has the swinging log seat.

I think I'm going to hang out on this here porch for awhile if y'all don't mind... Been walking around in some of those "other" neighborhoods (threads) and there's some real whackadoos out there let me tell you....
I think I'll just stay in my little land of Montana and be happy with my neighbors "here" where there's always something fun 'goin on.
