I just saw a little of your weather on the news, man!
I wonder if there are any places that have not had some wild weather this year!
BTW I think I heard we might be in the 40's by the weekend?

I'm fine, no problems. Not raining right now, but more due today. Our "soil" drains so quickly, we often get hard rains - in the summer. But now, the soil is compacted, drains are full of fallen leaves due to our damaging cold weather in January. It was "fun" driving my Honda Civic home, dodging big puddles, etc.

I was in one of those hard rains during the early fall one time......those black clouds came at us so fast.....I was not used to it. My girl was a toddler at the time and we had to pick her up and RUN! (We were on a beach with a lot of prehistoric, broken black shark's teeth---don't ask me where it was......the sand looked black. My best friend lived in Cape Coral at the time and I think it was less than an hour from there). And yes, it did sink in quickly, but we had only had a shower or two earlier that week, so it still had 'a place to go'....

When I moved by the beach in S. California, I thought that I would have great, loamy soil.......WRONG! It is very serious clay here.....hard! Last week I lost a tree and had other damage to my property.....I have put my pump away but might have to get it out again in a few days...... A red Ferrari was completely underwater about 3 minutes from my house.....I don't follow other states but CA people do such stupid stuff in the rain.

The news stated that the football players are having trouble finding a place to practice. It showed some very flooded streets.

Stay safe.......hope you have a good roof on the house and good tires, too!

Looks like the west coast and the south are the ones getting really pounded.
So far Northwest Ohio has been lucky, I seriously think that we have only gotten 6 to 8 inches of snow all winter, and we have had a little rain. I have been wanting a good snowfall all winter.
They are however saying that we might get some snow this weekend. We will wait and see.
plantlover, stay safe.
Wurzig were you in any of the areas that got the 8 to 9 inches of rain. Maybe more??

We just use umbrellas here - keep one in the car, one at home, and one at the office. Ya never know when you might be caught by rain. It is too warm to wear raincoats. They are unheard of down here. Snowdreamer, have you lived on the La, Ms coast for very long? It must be really hot and muggy in the summer. Did you go through Katrina?
