What is the weather like right now in your area? I heard that there were warnings about high winds in Montana. I hope you are ok.

So nice of you to worry! Well high winds here are a normal, everyday, we did get some pretty big gusts yesterday but the few trees here are hardy and hang on.
One thing is over here you can see the front coming so you have time to get under cover.

here is close to me

Been blowing 35-40mph here all day, barely a stiff breeze for here. Snowing down to 2800' or so all day. I see the wind's been up to 50mph along the High-line and 57mph in MT's SE corner. You can retrieve your barn from Wisconsin once the wind dies down.

But that ain't nothin... I have a client who lives near Mono Lake, where there's a huge unobstructed downslope from Mammoth -- he was just here and told me that last year the wind picked up his trailer and tipped it over... the local weather station there clocked that wind at 208mph!!!!!

Here's a forecaster's workshop in Billings next November (no charge for the workshop itself), check the agenda to see if it seems useful to you:

His dogs were some of the most influential Labradors in the development of the breed in America, and most of the original Montana lines were founded on his "Whitmore" dogs.

My favourite cowboy singer will be in MT again this fall -- Dave Stamey is scheduled to be in Twin Bridges in October:

What you see is what you get. He really is that good in person.

At first I thought it was those mushrooms again, cuz I'da swore there was a flying snake in my living room....!!!

Turns out it was a giant crane fly that had apparently flown through an old cobweb and now had a foot or so of dusty cobweb trailing behind it. But it sure made me jump the first time it flew past my nose!!
