Will do, but our grass is coarse, like crabgrass. Stay warm!

No snow in my neck of the woods except "On Ol' Rocky Top". I'll be singing "Mr Blue sky" by E.L.O. today.

We got all moved and our dog is loving being out in the sticks. The deer walk right through our yard past our dog about 50 feet away and they just look at each other, she hasn't barked at them at all.

We bought out our direct TV contract so we won't be TV zombies anymore ! There is actually a world out there.
I took this picture below one of the dams at Thomson falls a couple of years back when I had a piece of junk camera.

Plenty of these guys in our neighborhood. We may just "gobble' one up come thanksgiving holiday, or any other day for that matter.

Every fall we are reminded of how much of this area is covered in Western Larch when the needles turn yellow and drop.
That's about the same time of year that the wusses turn yellow and run back down south !

For those of you in the area. The team and wagon are moving right along. They'll be at Eddies Corner later today. Snowing and blowing but they are still on the move. They've made 320 miles since the 19th when they left. They stop about every 5th day and rest the horses for a day or two. A couple times weather (wind) has made them lay up for a day, but all in all, they're making good time. Only 2,100 miles to go.

Jane blew a tenny runner. They were 10 miles out of Eddie's Corner. I got on the internet, made some phone calls, found a ferrier willing to meed them at Eddie's Corner and reshoe the horses. Not bad. 320 miles on those shoes, mostly pavement.

It is a good reminder of how the pioneers faced many difficulties on their way west.

And no cell phones or paved roads.
Thanks for the update EH.

Good morning all!
Well, we're hunkered down in AZ right at the moment where it's been a chilly 94 degrees and sunny...
We bit the bullet, my other half got tired of our nomadic ways for now so we picked up a house in AZ.
Rickers, you'd make a killing out here! y'all got to check this out..
flexmls

Our son is going to ASU since they've got an Aspergers program and want to work with him so we kind of need to be nearby in case there's any issues so might as well get out of something that devalues and into something that should eventually go up in price or become a rental.
There are 499 houses just like these in this one area of AZ right now. You can pick up 3500 sqft under 5 years old for less than $170k in many cases.

Good to hear about your son, jimj! I am very familiar with Asperbers. My friend's son has it, too. He's in the 8th grade down near San Diego.

Are you at the school in Tempe? Your wife will need to buy a lot of sun lotion and sleeveless blouses. My neice is a senior there, communications or English or something along the line of writing.....she will either take some type of apprenticeship in D.C. after she graduates (I think in January), or else go on to the Walter Cronkite School. Her folks have remained in CA though, so they have had to pay out of state tuition for the last 4 years.....a tidy sum for sure!
