Good morning all. It's a bit cloudy but we may get a few sunny patches I hope.
I just found this website that is a good use of our tax dollars. It's a page from the kids version of "Visit Montana" and has links to fun stuff for folks with kids to do in Montana. This page has some bird and other animal sounds. All of ya kiddies go have some fun with it.
I never knew we had a state song !

State song??! Me neither! Can't hear it on this site tho, cuz they're using some illegal javascript loader and it doesn't work in every browser.

I used to do a pretty convincing elk bugle and coyote howl

Hi everybody.....

I believe every state has a song, bird, flag, flower, motto, whatever......

In CA, it used to be illegal to pick wild California poppies....you know, those pretty orangish-yellow ones.....I am not sure if it was enforced....and I am not sure if it's still the law.........

I want to say that the flower for Hawaii is hibiscus, and they are everywhere..... And I think for CO, it's the columbine.....it's pretty, kinda spindly-spidery...(is spindly-spidery a word? )....and I remember it only because of the high school massacre...

Without checking, does anybody know the flower for Montana?

Don't look at the lower right hand corner please. Oh heck what can they do to me for that 35 years later.
I reckon that's false aralia down in the corner.

Did you notice that I am turning into a cowgirl? I used 'reckon'.

I often stay up late but I'm beat. I slept OK last night but after being awake for forty hours straight.
I guess getting hit with unexpected (health related) expenses as well as some other frustrating things like slammers and scammers (by a few so called reputable and popular companies I wont name here) can have unpleasant effects on a person. We keep having to go to the bank and have them deauthorize unauthorized debits from our account. Freaking shysters **** me off.
I think our parrot really likes where we dwell now (and I do too), she looks out the window and talks to the parade of springtime migratory songbirds. She has also suddenly started talking a whole lot more. I think she has about a ten word vocabulary including my laugh now and is placing her words in up to five syllable cute quips !
I ain't staying up like that again, "G'nite all", ------------Crash----
Oh yea, and knowing your personality, I just about know which 10 words she knows.........

I always just used grasshoppers myself, which have the added advantage that if you run out of bait, you can usually catch more in the nearest field
Did you ever use Velveeta?

Yep, but grasshoppers stay on the hook better, and catch more fish.

In Minnesota we usually used minnows, which you could catch in the shallows anywhere. Along with a good load of leeches on your legs.
