The water fountains on the sidewalks in downtown Portland, Oregon, are called bubblers...Benson Bubblers to be specific, named after the gentleman who thought they were a good idea.

Default "Evening officer" .. "me? .. oh, I ain't nobody special .. just a hobo keepin outa peoples way .... care for some stew?"

I thought once you got a certain distance away from town, it was called a "crick"..

I love lake fishin' .. and I love river fishin' .. but does ANYTHING taste better than a trout an 11 year old boy pulls out of a small creek behind the house where he lives ... and then cooks over a small fire.. I can still smell it cooking.. As I remember, it took FOREVER to cook.. (or at least it seemed that way) .. and a can of Van Camps pork and beans .. eaten out of the can, of course.. haha..
Suddenly you were a hobo waitin' for the midnite train to come rollin' by, and filling your belly cause, being a hobo, you were NEVER sure when your next meal would be.. haha.. The menu for the next hobo adventure would be Mulligan stew.. pre-cooked by mom of course (to very exacting hobo specifications) and then reheated by you in a coffee can over another small fire..

You can keep all your fancy toys, and cars, and expensive houses, and EVERYTHING a rich celebrity can find to buy.... Just give me the dreams of adventure of an 11 yr old boy, to relive as a man, and I'll be happy beyond words .. and never ask for another thing.

Sorry .. was just suddenly reminiscing..

Wagon update:

I got word from a passerby that they were in The Dog Pound. Immediately I'm thinking, Jail. Then I get to thinking about it and it's probably a bar. NOPE. Dog Pound is actually the name of the town they were in. Dog Pound Alberta Canada.

This morning I got word they are in Sundre Alberta and headed for Madden so the team can get new tenny runners.

Oh, I see... so in Portland, folks will throw you into the fountain instead of into the aquarium.

I never heard of a "bubbler". Sounds like something you'd submerge in a fish tank. So I guess you better go with "water fountain" or people are going to think you want to be thrown into the aquarium.
To me, a bubbler is those old-fashioned Christmas lights...they were such fun to watch when I was a kid, but they had to be straight or else they wouldn't 'bubble'...I have one and use it as a night light in one of the bathrooms but it's hard to get it to bubble...

In other words, they are currently bored with summer cause their is nothing to do.
Well, I hope to hear from somebody.....heck, the school is famous, I hope somebody has somethin' to say.....

Default To fish or not to fish, that is the question.

Well I managed to get a bit of fishing in today and tomorrow I'm planning to fish at Fishtrap lake off the floating meadows.
Another idea is to sit around the trailer all day watching movies and looking at the parade of deer moseying on through our yard all day and night and do absolutely nothing productive !

Either one works for me.
