EH, you are remembering to take it a little easy?
Good to see your little pony.
Hey neighbors, nice weather today. I think we are heading for a little wind though.
Something about that movie back a few post just reminds me of the porch. You are all great friends. Me being a gal am somewhat timid. I have to keep the suitors at bay of course You all make me feel really right at home. Hubs hears of your calamities daily. All it takes is a little stray off into some of the harsher threads to make the chair here next to the railing very comfy.

Kinda looks like the undercarriage of my truck, which I guarantee will never rust.

Hi Everybody,

Hope all are doing well....I'll check the back log of posts when I can.....I have been busy trying to sell our house, (even planted several more flats of flowers---something that I usually don't do this late into the summer), we had unexpected house guests that came out for a funeral over the 4th, our girl's close friend's mom died early this morning, too.....sad time....

Anyway, we are making plans for the drive to Missoula.....it'll take us a couple of days......(2 days and one night pit stop)... We are signed up for the parent orientation for the 25th and 26th......(our girl goes to one at that time, too).. Aside from the emotional aspect of it all, we'll be going nuts trying to get her settled in, (so far, her room mate has a little ice box and small micro, so maybe we'll get a little flat screen and whatever else the room mate lacks), I am looking forward to eating okra at Cracker Barrel.

She's now having more contact with her room mate, mostly thru facebook...(my girl's got bad laryngitis right now and can't chat on the phone).....I am asking about long johns, etc..(my kid thinks I'm nuts, but I used to ski quite a bit 'in my previous life' so I'm not totally dense about cold climates)....the room mate says they wear them to the football games.....and she also says the floor that they'll be on in their dorm 'rocks'....

Have a good day everybody....I'll write more when I can.......

Hey ElkHunter,

Careful with those washers as they have unintended consiquenses.

I bought a 1966 International Scout a few years ago that ran great, but the engine compartment was one solid block of oil soaked grease and oil, so I washed it.

Dang thing started leaking oil all over the place and it hadn't done that when I bought it.

I guess the grime was working better than the gaskets and seals did!!

Sometimes the grime serves a purpose

MTS, I know exactly what you are saying. A few years back I bought a 51 Roadmaster with a straight 8. Same thing.

Heh heh, mine's a Ford, it's supposed to leak!! Besides, most of us are a bit incontinent at its age... 32 is what in human years, about 110??

I notice the water pump is crusting up a bit, guess that explains where the water slowly goes to. Oh well, so long as it only oozes... the hoses did that for 20 years before I got around to having 'em replaced.

It was a 1951 Buick Roadmaster, a lot of luxury in those days, but it was heavy. It just floated down the road. Straight 8 is the engine. It had a 8 cylinder engine but it was inline like a 6 cylinder today.

Well, when you opened the hood, the engine seemed like it was about 8 ft long (no where near that, but compared to other engines, it looked really long). At the time, it was "THE" thing to have.
