That newfound cousin does look a mite poor and peaked, that's for sure... better get the fellow a burger and a beer before the crows carry him off!!

Wink No fish tonight, it's beans again !

Well I just got back from fishing and I skunked. That's OK, I found a few more fishy looking spots to access with a tiny plastic boat. The Bass bite is on now, too bad I don't have any enemies or I could pull a "Grumpy Old Man" stunt and put a fish under the back seat of his rig.
I did get a few photos and my bird didn't crap on anyone's shoulder.
I also found a nice park in Noxon with a huge covered picnic table area with a horseshoe pit with shoes. They also have an area to play croquet and would be great location for a family reunion, outdoors wedding reception or a CD Montana forum porch visitors picnic, hint hint ! It's right next to where Pilgrim Creek enters the Clark Fork and I'm going back soon cuz others were hooking up to smallies.

Today was perfect just like the day I took this picture of The new Thompson falls sign. Sure wish I had a fish to go with my beans but there is always tomorrow. My son got a camera so he can send better pics back from Halfassistan, actually he is in Dubai on a short job and then will most likely be sent to another battle camp to fix some electrical issue with a weapons system or a barracks lighting !
That kid sure has more guts than his eccentric old dad.

I know that park in Noxon! I vote for a CD Porch reunion. Plenty of room, and a great view!
You can even bring your emaciated cousin, and we'll feed him.
I know you're not supposed to wish a fisherman good luck, but what are you supposed to say? Happy bites?
Best of luck to your boy, anyway! And safe travels.

You didn't get anything from that storm last night? Radar looked nasty.

No, not even any thunder. Yes I was watching it and it must have split around us. I could see the rain streaks north and south
Farmers say everything is drying up.

In that case, my niece is selling hogs to raise money for college and I just got mine back from the processors.

Nice fresh homemade bacon and sausage on the griddle

Our tea is hot and this day will be too. We will be heading out again to fish, take pictures and hang out in the shade at a river or lake. I do know where there are a few pictograph sites similar to this one and I need more pictograph and petroglyph pictures as I sometimes reproduce miniatures on small slabs of shale and mount then on a nice bases to sell.
This image is just a small part of a larger pictograph panel near Perma Montana.

Eugh! Blech!! Ptui!!! Who put coffee in my teacup??

Think I'll take me a plate of that fresh grilled hog, sounds yummy. Ain't nothin' better than old-style sugar-cured bacon. And put a little of that bacon grease on the biscuits.
