I think it's because bikers are migratory, and during summer they pack up and travel long distances, just like birds.

We always get a lot of bikes through this area. But this year seems like there are a lot more. Also, there is more bikes that are of the Enduro variety instead of touring machines. On-road, Off-road machines, stacked 5 ft high with sleeping bags and gear.

Just something I never thought about when we considered Montana as a home. The driving is perfect over here for bikes, I like the four-wheeler, goes just fast enough for me and the dashi.

I once went to a summer camp up on the north end of Flathead Lake (this would have been about 1967ish). On the next campground over was some sort of Hell's Angels style biker meetup. They were actually very nice to us kids, tho that we talked to each other at all probably horrified our parents. (And maybe the bikers' parents as well )

Hey, this bugs me every time I see one go by: how on earth can having the handlebars two feet over your head (sometimes narrow, sometimes spread out like wings) be comfortable, let alone give you good control?? I don't get it. Can some biker here explain? I'd think after a while you'd have poor circulation in your hands, if nothing else.

(Speaking of confused, first time I tried to edit this post, the forum told me, "The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters." )

I agree. Rickers' life is just not fair.... to the rest of us!!

Oh yes, the 49ers were just plain magic for a while.. comebacks beyond the realm of possible. And an owner who loved his team win or lose -- how often do you see THAT?!

As to the Bears, about the only time I root for them is if they're playing the Hated Raiders! Tho I do have a Bears jacket... cuz it was $3 at the junk shop.

It's really complex to explain to the normal layman, but let this old Electrical Engineer try.

Ape Hangers look cool.

And yes, you do loose circulation and sensation in your arms.

I thought that might be the case and the moniker sure suits the look
