Not purpose-made, but I do think the crunchy fried skin is the best part of a chicken

Gribenes huh ? I think I'll pass on those, too schmaltzy for my taste buds !
I wont touch pork rinds or beer nuts either, (whatever the heck they are, I think corn).

I didn't really have a dinner so I will now commence to make an evening plate of smoked salmon, extra sharp cheddar cheese squares and a toasted buttered crumpet with sliced chile peppers, dried basil and garlic powder on it.
Did I mention that getting on in years a bit, having a wife in need of being at doctors appointments, living a bit out in the sticks and having car problems on both rigs is bit unnerving and stressful ? Well In case I haven't, it is.

Oh there it comes again ~~~ I think I sense another picture trying to wiggle its way from my camera to your computers screen.

I thought Crumpet was our secret nickname for one of "The Cousins"
Mum used to call English muffins Crumpets.

Here is an easy one I found over in the recipes thread.

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbs fresh basil, chopped
1 tbs good olive oil

Place unbaked crust in pie dish. Layer the cheese over crust and sprinkle with basil. Place the tomatoes on top. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until crust is golden.

And it is so easy and tastes so good . I hope whoever makes it , enjoys it .

I threw in a little salami, it is good cold also!
