I broke down.......... I caved in. I am such a wimp.
However, when the mints are melting in their wrappers, it's a pretty good indication the a/c needs to go on.
(It's only 90F out, but the humidity is at 70%. Ugh. )
I understand the week-end is to be a bit damp and dreary. YAAAHOOO.

Hello neighbors, long day at work, so sorry only leftovers tonight. Beef stew is always better the second day.
In my little world dh is for my dearest husband! I too have to check in with kid 2 to interprete occasionally.
I see from the other threads you all are doing a great job keeping up with all the moving to Montana questions. Some are just plain funny! I would love for some to come to eastern Montana looking for quaint with an artsy feel They would get evil eye with a who the heck are you!
Pouring coffee now.

Yes, cheese biscuits with chives, dh hates anything other than the plain variety. His Norwegian showing thru He and I have different spice/pepper tolerances. I am a bit of a mutt so I really like hot jalapeno Following rickers recommendations for any westward jaunts for the best mex food.

I can't remember the exact title of the book - it's a good number of years ago I saw it - but it was something along the lines of a Norwegian's guide to life type thing.
The chapter on food was entitled (this I do remember) "Blond and Bland" with subtitles along the lines of "101 Things to do with Cream of Mushroom Soup".

There was a priceless one on the WY thread... someone looking for the whole "vibrant" artsy fartsy this and that along with an excellent public mass transit system.

Jeff Smith, the "Frugal Gourmet" chef often used the term "Norwegian Nightmare" when describing how the regional foods were all white with white sauce on white plates. Unfortunately his propensity towards young men caused his downfall, he was one who I looked to in the early days of cooking to understand the blandness my dh did and does seek.
