Ben and Jerry's recipe
I use Ben and Jerry's recipe as a base and then add what I want when almost frozen.
2 large eggs
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups Whipping cream
1 cup Milk
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
Whisk the eggs in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, 1 to 2 minutes. Whisk in the sugar, a little at a time, then continue whisking until completely blended, about 1 minute more. Pour in the cream, milk, and vanilla and whisk to blend. Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze following the manufacturer's instructions.
One of our favorites is mint choc chip. Following B&J's recipe I add about a tablespoon of mint extract and a good half a box of chopped up Ande's Candies. Chop the candies and then freeze them before dumping in. I make ice cream frequently and have found that freezing the final storage bowl, chilling the liquid ingredients as much as possible before mixing and freezing all add-ins before mixing really helps since if you add warm stuff it will reverse the freezing process and could cause a grainy ice cream.
I have the B&J cook book so if anyone wants something let me know...

Whoa, that sounds rich as Fort Knox!
So what do they have in a lime sherbet??
Lazy people like myself throw four heaping tablespoons of lemonade mix into a quart of milk and let the machine have at. Yet another recipe from my cookbook in progress, entitled Why No One Eats At My House.

I made an adult concoction a couple weeks ago..
1: Ice
2: Rainbow sherbet
3: Pomegranate juice
4: Cream
5: Rum
Not your average daiquiri, but it was a hit! We even made some virgin ones for the kids and they loved 'em.
Home made sherbet would be great in this!

Mmmm, sounds tasty!!
I thought about throwing some rum into the last batch of "instant lemonade sherbet" -- works well with Jello, so should be just as good frozen... kindof like a milk daiquiri, whatever that drink would be called!
Oh, you haven't heard of alcoholic jello?? Perfected by my friend Chaz: See Baden's Margarita Jell-O and Jellophile Vol. 2-A - Alcoholic Jell-O Recipes, A-E
Something interesting from the collection:
Sherbet 1-2-3
Take 1 pkg jell-o (small or large) and prepare with boiling water as usual. Instead of using the corresponding amount of cold water replace with an equal amount of sherbet. Beat with an electric mixer until sherbet is melted. Refrigerate and let set. Enjoy.

It snowed on my poor little veggie garden this morning. We're still on the wagon with no urges whatsoever, It sure feels good to be alcohol and nicotine free ! I for some reason don't like sherbet and ice cream is off my diet so you all will have to enjoy all that stuff on the porch with-out me. I guess I'll just sit here and watch you all enjoying !

Hey rickers! Hooray for you! We will declare an on the wagon day here on the porch for you. But heck what is left after all you are giving up? Hey LIFE! Very proud of you.
BTW Snowed here today also, not sticking yet which is good. All my tomatoes are covered. The joys of Montana. I will have to sit out the ice cream also, here is a napkin so we can drool.

Well the tomato plants seemed to have survived the light snowfall, covered of course.
All this moisture has the yard looking like a jungle. How is it going at your place?

My tomato plants don't look as happy as they should but I've got 1 tomato already ! (the plant was started indoors.) My rental on the rez was just vacated by another set of BAD tenants and the lawn is chest high. We took a whole truck load of their garbage to the dump for them. I hate bad renters ! Even my redneck cousins would make better tenants than the last two !
