Hey congrats on your pups' accomplishments. I bet that is a real feeling of pride when they place!
Lots of bikers in town this fourth, the hail we had the day before stripped all the flowers but we managed to grill and have a few brewskies. The best part about Montana is great 4th weather!
Thanks Yeah, the pair of Group 3rds was a nice surprise. I call this boy my homely field dog but all the judges seem to like him anyway and he is such a good dog, too -- always trying to be helpful!!
Have seen hardly any bikers around this year -- usually I get big groups going by because the road out yonder is the main route between the nearby mountain back-roads. This year -- I think I've seen one bunch. Maybe it's just that the biker culture is getting a bit long in the tooth -- all the bikers I've seen in the past few years have been in their 50s or older!!
I'm bored. I have the day off. Sorry to bug you guys. When I posted those pictures of the hoodoos. I said Surprise, AZ. The first set of hoodoos are near the town Superior, not Surprise. Guess what. Last night, I think I was watching the news, or something about farmers, I saw a rolling wheat field for the first time. I'm sure it doesn't look as cool on tv, as it does in person. But, I can imagine it better now
TP is always great for driving!
Willie is better for drinking and crying for me no driving of course
I slept through some weather last night, anyone have any problems?
hey Hon, welcome to the board, introduce yourself.

We got our first "real" fire from the storms. About 7 acres so far above Woods bay on Flathead lake. Since the fire base at the airport is shut down due to runway replacement we have to depend on helicopters from other areas. After yesterdays lightening strikes I hope we don't get anymore fires!
On the good side it seems tourist season is in full swing and it's busier than heck up here with just about all the rv parks full and people everywhere. I'm sure the local business' can use the $$$!
Hope all are doing well today, especially "gout" man! Gotta get ready for my floor installers this morning, putting in hardwood flooring finally!!!!
I still have the gout ! It's slowly going away. I think I've only been able to walk (hobble with crutches) for a few days out of the last few months. I was over on the west side a while back and managed to hobble about for a while in a long forgotten overgrown graveyard and found a few interesting grave markers. It gave me an opportunity to get acquainted with my new Canon SX10 IS.
Pics below are of a few odd grave markers along with a few other shots.
Pictures above were taken on the C.S.K.T. reservation.
The pictures below were taken east of the divide.
Hey, jimj, we gonna be inyour neck of the woods along about the 17th. We will be attending the 75th annual Glacier Waterton Hamfest at Glacier Meadows RV park near Essex, then we'll be camping someplace on Hungry Horse Reservoir for a few days after that.
Hmmm... I kinda wish I still had those four lots in Hungry Horse, that would have been a great place for a base camp!
We'll be going right by Rickers, too. The plan is to overnight in GF, then head up the freeway and over the mountains. No time to stop in Conrad, though, and we won't have any computer access at all during the trip.
Rickers, great shots. Glad to hear you are still plugging along. I love graveyards of any kind, I use to take my kidos when they were young and do rubbings with crayon and paper of the different designs. I have a full size of my Pop's. I think it is a southern thing, I never feel nervous or uneasy.
Like your new camera? I have been over on the photography forum getting advise, I am thinking about one for myself.
