Default Info: Big Timber

I'll probably be asking this type of question a fair bit here in the near future. My husband is looking for a job anywhere in N Wyoming and E Montana. There is a possibility in Big Timber at the moment. It's a little further west than we were wanting, but....

Anybody have anything they think we should know? Good, bad or indifferent.

The Big Timber/Livingston area is one of the windiest in the State! It is not uncommon for the freeway to be closed to "high profile vehicles" along there.
I was heading for Big Timber once in my Jeep when the water pump bearings went out. I caught a ride to town, got the water pump and gaskets, and some tools, and the deputy sheriff gave me a ride back to the Jeep. They were all the nicest people, did their best to help any way they could.

Well, the wind won't be anything new. I've had to run a cable to be able to make it to the barn and back sometimes. Thanks for the info!
