My great-grandmother, Carrie Hanson, lived on a farm outside of Bainville for many years, along with her son Alfred. Does anyone know of any other family of hers that I may contact? Thanks.

Sorry I can't help you, and search didn't turn up anything likely, but that's a good Norske name -- maybe contact the nearest Sons of Norway or the Lutheran Church (two likely contacts for folks of Scandinavian extraction) and see if anyone there knew 'em.

Where the heck is Bainville??

Bainville is a little town up in the North East corner of the state. If memory serves me, it wasn't but 200 people or so. Went through there once headed for Williston ND.

OP, you might try posting in the people search here on CD. There are people on there that are just waiting for a tough challenge.
