Default Why do people think that tall women are intimidating?

Simple question.... Why do so many people believe that tall women are intimidating? On more than one occasion I have heard comments from my friends and strangers that they feel women who are 5"11 or taller are intimidating simply due to their height. They may be beautiful, smart, and kind...but their height is what scares men off...

Thoughts?

I like tall women.

They grow 'em short here in Tennessee.
Maybe I should move to Montana.

Almost half of my x girlfriends were quite a bit taller than me. I have never found any of them intimidating. It was their other boyfriends that were intimidating !
