I know, I actually watched American Idol this year all the way thru and am still suffering from the Glambert. Very good singer, stinks IMO that he did not win.
BTW do you ever sleep? You and Rickers are in the running for the insomniac awards.

My wife made me watch A.I., "Clockwork Orange" style (with the head gear that holds your eyes open and tied to a chair !) Adam should have won and Danny should have been the runner up.
And your right I don't sleep much. I have very bad insomnia and even sleeping pills only knock me out for 3 to 5 hours at the most.
Talking about parades, I went to the Little "Running Of The Bulls" In Tecate Mexico once and they had an antique car show parade before they let the bulls loose. There was an antique pick up truck in the parade with a drunk gringo sitting on the open tailgate of the truck. He was drinking a beer with one hand and holding the twelve-pack of beer in the other, the only thing really bad about it was the fact that all his junk was hanging out of his zipper. Half the folks in the crowd either didn't notice or didn't care much. I laughed my patootie off.
I expect a few bible toting protesters to make some noise at the gay parade, I just hope that nobody does anything stupid. I actually think that having a gay parade in Kalispell is stupid, (a few sticking their unpopular lifestyle in the mainstream folks faces), but we are supposed to be a free country so what the heck, we have our "Straight Pride Parades" on the fourth of July !

OMG!! As if I don't have enough trouble teaching my sons Christiananity! Don't ask, don't tell. I don't want to know. LOL a while back ago I was with one of my younger sons at the mall in Missoula. We were waiting in line for a quick bite when two guys got in line behind us. No problem....UNTIL....they started making out, and I mean hands down the pants tongue action making out. My son just stared with his jaw on the floor. Then asked me the oh so wonderful question...Why are there two guys kissing? Needless to say I let loose on these fellas. I ripped them a new one all the while backing them out of the nearest mall entrance door. I kept asking them "Why did I now have to explain homosexuality to my son?" "Was I there with my husband practically having sex in the food court?" "Were they going to come to my kids school on Monday and explain why my son was talking about kissing guys?" I got a stern talk from a mall cop, but it was worth it. Keep the homo@%*t away from me and my family. Don't go parading around Montana, keep your tongues to yourselves. I may be closed minded but then again, aren't the gays by forcing innocent children to view thier disgusting lifestyle?

The only thing is that on our little 4th of July parades, we don't have banners saying "This is a straight, non-gay parade". Every woman isn't sucking on every guys face....unless you are at the Augusta street dance....that doesn't count....lol....I just cannot condone gays forcing people who are at work on the parade route, parents shopping with children at stores on the parade route ect....to witness such a display. When my kids are older and can comprehend the issues surrounding homosexuality, fine. Until then, they better keep it away from me and my family.

So, you woulda been okay with a guy and a girl feeling each other up and tonguing it in public?
Sorry, but that's hypocrisy. If one group is allowed to make out in public, others should be too, to an exactly equal degree. Or maybe you don't remember when a black man could get lynched for kissing his white wife in public -- it's really the same thing: someone WE don't APPROVE of isn't allowed to do what WE do with impunity.
This really is a Free Speech issue -- and the flipside of free speech you do NOT have the right to NOT be offended by someone's speech or manner of expression.
Here's a thought: neither gays nor straights need to be making out in public. But if one can't, then the other shouldn't have a liberty that the first is denied.
Remember, social conventions change, and what you deny someone today based on some trait you dislike, YOU might be denied tomorrow based on some trait someone else dislikes.

And there you have the fundamental ethic for a truly free society.

Hey rez, don't you have a puppy mill to attend too ? This thread is about a gay parade in Kalispell not for snarking at other posters.

And when you go out in public, aren't you "forcing" gays, religious fundamentalists who believe women should be veiled head to foot, etc. to view YOUR lifestyle, which they may find equally disgusting?
See, it works both ways. Tolerance isn't just for people you LIKE or APPROVE OF. It's for everyone. It stops when others say YOU MUST SHARE OUR LIFESTYLE, but you have no right to NOT be offended.
It's like streetcorner preachers. If you don't like what they're saying, you don't have to stay and listen, and they have no right to tie you to a lamppost and force you to listen. But you have no right to shut them up, either.

I guess you don't get the reference. At the end of Fractured Fairy Tales (one of Bullwinkle's excellent segments), the various regular characters go loping across the screen, leaving a trail of dust and horse cookies... and at the very end comes a janitor, sweeping up after the parade.
BTW the term "puppy mill" is equivalent to the "n-word". So if you want to talk about snarking at posters... you just done it.
And yes, I have a dog show to get ready for this weekend... if I'm lucky I'll add a couple titles to my list of 34 Champions and 3 Best In Show/Reserve Best In Show winners.
